Responsibilities:
Responsible for the certification and accreditation of computer networks and standalone information systems using government standards. Prepare, maintain and implement System Security Plans that accurately depict the customer’s contractual requirements. Responsible for the oversight and accountability of day-to-day security operations of all the information systems (unclassified/classified). Support all disciplines within the security program and ensure business needs are met. Works directly with program managers and system security engineers on all phases of system life cycle development. Develops and implements security measures in accordance with applicable ICDs, NISP, other guiding government regulations and local facility procedures. Conducts ongoing vulnerability testing of the information system to verify security features and operating controls are functional, effective and meet government standards. Interact with internal and external customers or government security officials to perform security duties, address routine information security matters with employees regarding issues, report preparation and system security access briefings, etc. Develops and implements facility procedures to govern marking, handling, controlling removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing and destroyed media and equipment containing classified equipment. Responsible for changes to the classified system components, environment and location, including temporary relocation to another classified area. Assists Information Systems Security Manager in reporting and mitigation of information system security incidents. Applies general engineering or technical knowledge and skills to support engineers in their technical tasking. May have technical knowledge/experience in one or more of the following technical areas - Information Technology Security.
The roles and responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to the following:

Advise and maintain configuration management plans.

Advise, monitor and maintain accreditation for program’s new starts.

Monitor and maintain accreditation for program’s systems.
-
Monitor systems’ plan of action and milestone process.

Gather and consolidate system accreditation documentation related to the Sponsor’s mission systems.

Provide supporting documentation of systems for ISSOs/ISSMs review.
-
Provide supporting documentation for operational approval boards as needed.

Develop, update, and maintain all Security program level briefing charts for software development activities.

Provide guidance of ad-hoc security related tasks.
-
Advise on and monitor risk acceptance for systems throughout accreditation process.

Manage vault accesses.
-
Interface with Security ensuring compliance with policy and procedures.

Review request for changes to accredited, secure IT systems and provide appropriate security guidance as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, fast paced environment with a willingness to assist and support teams with evolving requirements and objectives.

Strong analytical abilities and skills in organizing, planning, communicating, and executing project management tasks.

Ability to analyze and prioritize tasks, solve problems, work several tasks concurrently, and efficiently manage a high volume of emails, develop fluency with online tracking tools rapidly and effectively.

Proven ability to work independently while also coordinating, collaborating, and liaising with appropriate stakeholders.

Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with officers at all levels of the organization.

Strong background in certification and accreditation process of information systems and ability to write, review and coordinate system security plans.
- Initiates protective and/or corrective measures designed to prevent future incidents.
- Thorough understanding of Automated Information Systems and specifically chapter 8 of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual.
- Proficiency with various computer applications and testing tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WASSP, MBSA, Nessus, etc.).

Extensive experience preparing briefings and documentation for all levels of audiences.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience.
