Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice-President of Facilties Management, the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the AVP in the day to day operations of the evolving business model at SDV. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.
Responsibilities:

Manage the issuance and renewals of all maintenance service contracts related all building systems;fire alarm, fire sprinkler, elevator, HVAC etc.

Assist Facility Managers/Maintenance staff to address violations issued by FDNY, NYCDOB and other governmental agencies

Liasion with budget and other departments to obtain cost proposals regarding repairs, replacement of equipment, family shelter room turn over costs and violation dismissal

Liaison with budget and obtain bids for all sub-contractor approvals

Assists in the day to day management of maintenance software system utilized for tracking work orders generated to address facilities issues

Assist the AVP in following up with correspondence with consultants, contractors and third party vendors
Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of experience

Willingness to travel to multiple sites.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams with the organization.
- Ability to work independently, follow through, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic a socioeconomic background.
