We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience with diagnostic evaluation and medical terminology.
Duties:
- Preparation of patient and exam area for test
- Educate patient of test to be performed
- Able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify vascular pathology and abnormalities
- Notify physician of any abnormal findings
- Must be able to perform the following exams: Carotid dopplers, ABI and arterial studies of the upper and lower extremities,
- Transcranial doppler
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited vascular technology program
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation and medical terminology
- Experience with sonography equipment and techniques
- Ability to adhere to aseptic techniques during procedures
