Morning PreK Music & Movement Teacher – Private School
We are looking for a preschool art teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
OUR ORGANIZATION
We are a private school (preschool-middle school) in Leesburg, VA. Our instruction focuses on integrating the arts, academics, and experiential learning in a friendly and positive environment. While not a traditional Christian school, we are a Christian organization. Our beliefs inform our practices, policies, and overall school direction. We seek to have a meaningful educational, social/emotional, and spiritual influence on students, families, and our community.
We have a wonderful team of preschool teachers who collaborate and support one another as they challenge and differentiate students through experiential and meaningful instruction. Our school integrates academics with the arts and hands-on learning. Students and staff alike are encouraged to implement the 4 C’s (Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, & Critical Thinking) into each school day.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The PreK music and movement teacher in is responsible for providing engaging music and movement lessons, as well as loving care to students. It is required that applicants have music and performance leadership experience. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 1:00 pm. If looking for more hours, this position could be combined with another position in the school. A degree in art or early education is preferred, but not required if candidate has equivalent experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and implement lessons following the Scope & Sequence and event objectives
Adapt lessons for student differentiation
Assess students’ strengths, weaknesses, and abilities
Communicate with parents and administrators about student progress
Plan and prepare student for school-wide musical performance
