**Job Summary:**
APEM Inc. seeking a dynamic and results-driven Midwestern. Central US Regional Account Manager, located in the Chicago area to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts within the designated region, driving sales, and fostering strong relationships with clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in sales and account management.
GENERAL KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Directly responsible for achieving sales revenue targets for the Midwestern North American Sales Region
- Define sales and growth strategy toward Manufacturing Sales Rep Partners within the assigned Region while aligning with critical sales business objectives.
- Motivate and drive Manufacturing Sales Representatives, channel partners, and internal resources to consistently grow the region and maintain key customers.
· Utilize Sales and Marketing skills to consistently grow APEM’s future opportunity pipeline and match or exceed other regions.
· Convert 40%+ of opportunities to production wins.
· Achieving high level of sales and technical proficiency with APEM lines
· Travel consistently to territories within the regions to support Manufacturing Representatives and Customers
RESPONSIBILITES/DUTIES:
- Achieve sales and booking goals per annual budget and opportunity generation goals.
- Work closely and harmoniously with the Inside Sales team as well as other internal partners.
· Provide motivation, support and training to manufacturers’ rep organizations and distributors to ensure that sales objectives are achieved.
· Review Rep performance on a quarterly basis.
- Drive and manage new business opportunities. Working with your inside team, sales Reps, and distributors, develop and manage new opportunities.
· Develop annual budgets for the territory and provide updated forecasts throughout the calendar year.
· Actively manage all key accounts in conjunction with the sales channel in the territory
· Provide ongoing analysis on market trends and competitive situations in the territory.
· Travel throughout assigned Region and APEM locations on a regular basis to
o Build customer relationships and provide solutions based on customer needs.
o Communicate and encourage local distributor branches to support.
o Manage and create a strong working relationship with Manufacturer Reps assigned to Midwestern Region
· Utilize virtual tools to continue to build upon relationships with external and internal clients and partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Management preferred
· 5 years of direct sales experience
· Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Must have a proven track record of closing new business.
· Polished presentation and communication skills are essential.
· Must have excellent project management skills and be detailed oriented.
