SUMMARY
This position provides support to the Treasury Department staff and Finance Systems Administrator. Liaison with Finance System Administrator on matters regarding Horizon System to meet departments’ needs. Provides procedural training and documentation as well as conducting level two QA reviews to determine compliance with established goals and monitor work queues. Provide the Treasury Unit with technical support regarding the Horizon System.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaison with Finance System Administrator to ensure systems support the department’s needs. Lead all systems testing for the Treasury Unit in conjunction with the Treasury Supervisor.
- Utilize Horizon software and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed with new releases.
- Assist with system department training needs and maintain up-to-date written system procedural manuals in coordination with the Communications Department.
- Conduct and prepare Horizon training for Treasury staff and other departments.
- Act as liaison between the Treasury Unit and other departments in situations that impact Treasury Unit operations and utilization of work queues.
- Conduct level two quality analysis (QA) reviews in the identified areas of risk within the Treasury Unit to determine compliance with established goals and standards. Prepare written reports of results for department leadership.
- Perform verifications approvals at a primary or secondary level of Horizon workflows for Treasury staff in Horizon system.
- As directed by Treasury Supervisor, review work queues and reassign daily tasks to be completed by Treasury staff whenever needed.
- Assist the Treasury staff in resolving difficult member or employer related issues; provide feedback to staff to assist them in developing the skills needed to resolve more complex issues.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Treasury staff. Review and report any complex problems that may need to be escalated to Treasury Supervisor.
- Maintain current knowledge of the operation of all other departments in IMRF as it relates to the Treasury Unit operations.
- Conduct new and ongoing procedural training of department staff, utilizing internal and external resources.
- Conduct research for the Treasury Unit. Use all available resources including IMRF Legal Interpretations, Illinois Pension Code, Imaging documents, the current Line of Business System, and microfiche.
- As directed by the Treasury Supervisor, provide back-up to Treasury staff, as needed.
- Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no formal supervisory responsibilities. However, this position is required to provide day-to-day guidance and leadership to the Sr. Accounting Clerks and Treasury Specialist. This position may do workload reassignments as needed. This position will be asked to provide input to management staff regarding training needs, policy, and procedure revisions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
5 years’ experience as a Senior Accounting Clerk or Treasury Specialist. Performance history of meeting or exceeding unit standards.
Or
Associate’s degree with 3 years of work-related experience
Or
Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of work-related experience
