Accounting Assistant
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about accounting and is willing to learn and grow with the company. This position will be responsible for the daily accounting tasks including but not limited to:
- Process accounts payables for AIS clients
- Process returns payments
- Payment reversals and return premium processing
- Additional premium processing
- Prepare month end performance packages for AIS clients
- Organize and update funding information for AIS clients
- Process ACH information for client accounts payables
- Reconcile monthly bank statements for AIS clients
- Process loan paydowns for AIS clients
- Prepare custom payments report direct billing clients.
- Post and follow up on returned ACH’s.
- Set up/review accounts set up for recurring payment
- Scans/deposit checks to outside banks (Remote Deposit Capture)
- Apply voucher payments for AIS clients
- Release refund checks to customers
- Bill clients on monthly invoice
- Void loans and request request refunds
- Review and update Escheatment list
- Assists with special accounting projects as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
This position will report directly to the Manager of Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, superior communication skills and be able to work independently or in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. A minimum of 3 years in Accounting or Finance required. Insurance experience desirable. Strong computers skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office products and advanced proficiency in Excel.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
