Senior Quality Aerospace Engineer
Employment Solutions is partnering with a company that is an industry leader in defense and aerospace component manufacturing to hire a Senior Quality Aerospace Engineer to work onsite in Milford, CT. This is a direct hire full-time position with outstanding benefits!
· In this position, you will manage the Quality Department (the Quality and Process control systems) in a job shop environment.
· You will document requirements and direct management of the quality team to ensure optimum lean efficiency standards.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for supporting the organization’s Quality Control Inspection Lab and Quality Clinic activities.
· Initiate, process and report Material Deficiency Reports and chair the MDR meeting. Determine final dispositions, develop continuous improvement
· Liaison with all customer source inspections and product presentation.
· Evaluate inspection equipment and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements.
· Plan, develop and direct activities in the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards and methods for industrial processes, materials, and products.
· Devise sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
· Establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor degree or similar level of ability demonstrated by education and experience.
· AS9100 knowledge and certification is a must; and ISO 9001 , IATF 16949 International standards
· 7 years’ experience in Quality in a related position within a manufacturing environment.
· 5 years of supervisory experience in a Quality environment
· Knowledge of general manufacturing, aerospace, space and defense specifications.
· Knowledge of industry and military specification standards.
· Knowledge and understanding of Blueprint reading.
· Knowledge and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
· Strong hands-on knowledge of measuring equipment of all kinds needed to measure complex parts with right tolerances.
· Basic computer technology skills needed in analysis and reporting.
Due to being in the Defense Industry, and an ITAR manufacturing facility this position requires all full-time employees to be a US citizen

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
