**Overview:** We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail, possess excellent leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. **Responsibilities:** - Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process - Provide employee orientation and training - Oversee daily operations in a grocery store setting - Drive sales initiatives, including wireless sales - Utilize POS systems for transactions and inventory management - Demonstrate exceptional phone etiquette when communicating with customers and staff - Assist customers with their purchases and inquiries - Demonstrate strong leadership qualities to motivate and guide the team - Manage payroll and scheduling efficiently - Communicate effectively with team members and upper management **Requirements:** - Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a grocery store setting - Proficiency in conducting interviews and employee training programs - Knowledge of wireless sales is a plus - Familiarity with POS systems for transactions and inventory management - Strong phone etiquette skills for customer interactions - Ability to lead a team effectively - Experience managing payroll processes - Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and management
