Job Overview
The Fulfillment Associate is responsible for overseeing the entire fulfillment process, including picking orders, staging orders, managing backorders, and shipping orders. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of fulfillment professionals, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Fulfillment Director will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of fulfillment activities within the overall supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fulfillment Process Management:
- Oversee the entire order fulfillment process, including picking, staging, and shipping orders.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the fulfillment process, improve accuracy, and increase efficiency.
- Ensure that all orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.
2. Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of fulfillment professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for team development and growth.
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained to meet operational demands.
3. Backorder Coordination:
- Manage and coordinate backorders, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and customer orders are fulfilled as quickly as possible.
- Work closely with the procurement and inventory management teams to address backorder issues and prevent future occurrences.
4. Shipping and Logistics:
- Oversee the shipping process, ensuring that all orders are packaged and shipped according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with shipping carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of orders.
- Monitor and analyze shipping performance, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement within the fulfillment process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, incorporating new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all fulfillment activities.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments, including procurement, inventory management, customer service, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of fulfillment activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts.
- Provide regular reports and updates on fulfillment performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of order fulfillment processes, inventory management, and shipping logistics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in fulfillment and inventory management software systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $19.00 - $20.00/hour.
