Job Description:
Holy Savior Hospice is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Charge Accountant to take charge of our accounting department and assist executives with business planning and budgeting efforts of the Company. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who possesses a deep understanding of accounting principles and has the ability to manage multiple financial processes effectively. The Full Charge Accountant will routinely work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and present/communicate to other company executives. A crucial role in providing accurate financial information to management, thereby supporting strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Perform full cycle bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Oversee all accounting operations, including the design and maintenance of accounting records, ledger accounts, and financial statements.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of the financial records as per GAAP and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, Accounts Receivable, AR Roll Forward, and balance sheets ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Analyze payroll data to ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions.
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation of bank statements, credit cards, etc. to ensure the integrity of financial data
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Collaborate with CPAs and external auditors for annual audits and with tax preparation and filing
- Gather and prepare all necessary documentation in response to inquiries
- Utilize accounting software (such as QBs and CMYA) to input and track financial transactions
- Assist the CFO in analyzing the business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs..
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
Qualifications:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or similar role
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency in financial report interpretation, debits/credits, and account analysis
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, CYMA, etc.). and payroll providers (ADP and Paylocity) is highly desired
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Pay: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
