Welcome to Walnut Creek Veterinary Hospital; we are a privately owned practice established in 2014. What was once a single-doctor practice has grown to a bustling six-doctor practice. We’ve recently moved into our brand new, 8500 sq ft, state-of-the-art facility, off of Lennon Lane in the Shadelands Business Park area, and are looking to add to our team! We are committed to providing exceptional medicine and compassionate patient care, and outstanding client service; they are our extended family. We are looking to add one part-time or full-time Kennel Assistant to our team. This position supports the veterinary technicians and hospital with daily tasks.

- Provide exceptional and compassionate medical care to our patients and be committed to their overall care and welfare.
Required experience:
- 1+ years in a veterinary setting
- General knowledge of animal behavior, care, treatment, and restraint.
Overview of fundamental duties:
- Support technicians in their daily tasks
- General knowledge of basic animal restraint
- Provide veterinary husbandry
- Assist with restocking the hospital with necessary supplies
- Help maintain order list
- Maintain laundry
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment room, laboratory, dental suite, surgery room, reception, and exam rooms.
Physical Requirements:
- Pull, push and lift moderately heavy objects/animals weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Reach above or below shoulder level.
- Sit, stand, bend, kneel or squat for extended periods.
Work Details:
Open Monday through Friday from 8 am-6 pm.
10-hour shifts.
Salary based on experience.
