Job Summary
We're seeking a dynamic Email Marketing and Content Specialist to join our marketing team. You'll develop engaging content and leverage that content to create strategic email marketing and social campaigns that drive results. The Email Marketing and Content Specialist plays a critical role in executing outbound marketing programs that drive lead generation and overall communication to our agents in the field. This position reports to the Marketing Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create and implement strategic email marketing campaigns to achieve marketing goals
Design and build visually appealing email templates using a drag-and-drop platform
Utilize email automation tools to streamline campaign workflows
Track and analyze campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, etc.) and identify areas for improvement
Stay up-to-date on email marketing best practices and industry trends
Interface with various stakeholders across the company to turn marketing and campaign plans into actionable e-mail marketing programs
Develop engaging and persuasive email copy (e.g., newsletters, promotional emails, drip campaigns) that resonates with target audiences
Create high-quality content in various formats, including email and website copy, social media content, videos, articles/blog posts, e-books, landing pages or other content pieces aligned with marketing objectives
Develop a content calendar to maintain a consistent flow of fresh content
Promote content on social media platforms and engage with followers
Research industry competitors and stay up-to-date on developments in the senior insurance marketplace
Primary Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3 years of experience in email marketing and content creation (design, best practices, and mobile responsiveness)
Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g. Constant Contact, Hubspot, Marketo, SharpSpring, etc), website authoring and content management systems (e.g. Wordpress)
Social media experience with LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram
Extremely strong writing skills and proofreading abilities with a relentless attention to detail
Solid analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to optimize content and campaigns
Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Express)
A quick study on new and changing software
Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks on deadline
Self-starter and quick-learner who can power through ambiguity and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment
Proficiency with office systems and computers, including the rest of MS Office: Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Support departmental projects as assigned and willingness to pitch in, when necessary at all task levels
Preferred Skills & Requirements:
Experience in Medicare or insurance marketing/distribution
Experience with A/B testing and email personalization techniques
Knowledge of marketing automation platforms beyond basic functionalities (workflows, sales funnels)
Experience with SEO best practices, Google Analytics
Experience designing print/direct mail marketing (flyers, postcards, roll-up banners)
Solid proficiency in MS Excel and data management strongly preferred
