POSITION SUMMARY: Provides administrative and clinical support to Child Development Center staff. Perform a variety of clerical and clinical duties to include creating and maintaining databases, inputting confidential health information, scoring questionnaires, documenting in the electronic medical record; Interact and follow through with patients with the purpose of providing excellent customer service.
Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Two (2) years' experience in a Medical Office or related field required. Proven customer service and administrative experience.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions:

Obtains initial authorization for therapy sessions from insurance companies and managed care plans. Tracks allowable sessions to inform clinician of last approved session or expiration of authorizations. Informs Insurance Company of need for extension of sessions.

Handles patient scheduling. Assists in notifying patients of confirmations (phone and mail), changes and cancellations.

Answers, screens and transfers all incoming calls.
- Compiles and maintains clinical and patient statistical data to generate reports/summaries.

Assists patients with completion of forms.

Sends necessary forms and referrals to schools/agencies at request of team members.
- Scores and distributes incoming clinical questionnaires to appropriate team member.

Arranges patient transportation as needed.

Order, stock and maintain needed office and testing supplies.

Assists in administrative tasks including filing, log maintenance, and entry of client information.
- Receives visitors/patients into CDC.

Responsible for maintaining professional front desk, waiting room, signage/boards and receptionist area.

Monitor waiting room and provide feedback to providers regarding children's behavior and interactions.

Responsible for sending/receiving faxes. Distributes mail/faxes to appropriate team members.
- Sanitize toys, clinician offices and waiting area under the environmental and toy cleaning policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Attends staff meetings as requested.
