Reporting to the SVP, US Asset Management, we are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded individual to join our US Asset Management team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing financial data, assisting with capital expenditure (capex) projects, and providing administrative support to the team as needed.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Utilize financial modeling techniques to evaluate investment performance, identify trends, and forecast future cash flows.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Monitor market conditions and perform industry-relevant research.
- Support the creation of annual budgets and business plans.
- Collaborative with the investment team during due diligence and onboarding phases.
- Adhere to established processes and procedures, while suggesting and implementing improvements when appropriate.
- Support capital programs, supply sourcing, and construction coordination.
- Compile weekly and monthly operational KPIs.
- Establish and foster relationships throughout the organization to ensure flow of information is maintained.
- Support administrative functions like organizing meetings, managing deadlines, expense submissions.
- Contribute to a dynamic and agile team culture by willingly embracing additional responsibilities.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- University degree with concentration in real estate, finance, or accounting OR experience that has prepared you for the role otherwise.
- 1 – 3 years of experience with a real estate company (investment manager or developer), investment bank, private equity firm, brokerage, or lender is a plus.
- Experience with Yardi, and discounted cash flow (DCF) models is a plus.
- Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships.
- Superior analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, professional excellence, and assertive follow-through.
- Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Accurate and detail-oriented with the ability to allocate time effectively, work under pressure, manage and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities and adapt to new ideas and constant changes.
