Tew & Taylor has been providing private provider services to clients in Palm Beach County for over 15 years. We offer inspection and plan review services in Palm Beach County. Our projects include high-end residential, commercial, and condominium restoration.
We are currently seeking a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Building Code Inspector License in Florida with all three disciplines. Primary duties will include performing building code inspections and/or plans review. The inspector positions are predominately field located but may occasionally include office assignments.
Qualifications:
- Required state of Florida commercial building inspection license (BN#) in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing disciplines
- BN# for structural and/or 1 & 2 family dwelling (residential combo) are a huge plus
- 5+ years’ experience performing plan review and inspections
Responsibilities:
- Primary duties will include performing Structural Building Inspections (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing as licensed). Inspect commercial and residential buildings, which are under construction or being remodeled at various stages of completion to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes/ordinances in Palm Beach County.
- Primary duties will include performing building code inspections (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing as licensed and/or review plans on residential and commercial buildings in Palm Beach County.
- The inspector positions are predominately field located but may occasionally include office assignments.
- Prepare written and electronic reports, and issue notices of correction
- Capable of performing independent inspections of alterations, repairs, or new construction MEP Systems to meet the FL Building Codes for residential and commercial buildings.
- Record and document all inspections, prepare inspection reports and submit them to our office.
- Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints/plans, specifications, codes, and standards.
