Description:
VP of US Operations will oversee operational functions in the US including inventory management, sales reporting analysis, metadata, and warehouse operations. This position will lead projects related to the integrations of US publisher acquisitions, including onboarding of data (metadata, sales history, etc.) and the physical move of stock. This role will also oversee the relationship with the US distributor from an operational point of view, especially for Bloomsbury Academic. This role would work closely with UK partners with similar responsibilities to maintain consistency across organizations.
Responsibilities

This role will have 5 direct reports

Oversee operational aspects of US integrations ensuring all tasks remain on track.

Personal responsibility for sales history mapping and ingestion, vendor of record changes for print, inventory move to BB warehouse, metadata onboarding, and other tasks as needed

Oversee sales reporting and analysis for the US trade and academic print publishing programs, guiding US-based analysts on reporting needs

Oversight and calculations of bonus targets for relevant salespeople in the US

Manage Inventory operations, improving reporting tools and process available to inventory planning team

Manage the US warehouse relationship with distributor as needed, especially for Bloomsbury Academic a

Oversight of US metadata quality, again working in concert with UK partners to insure consistency.
Requirements:
- 15 plus years experience in publishing operations, ideally some combination of inventory management, integration experience and sales analysis

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

5+ years Management experience

Proficient with excel, word, etc.
