Summary: Perform preventive maintenances and repairs on all bakery equipment and building facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain all manufacturing bakery equipment in operational condition by performing preventive maintenance utilizing Work Order System.
- Troubleshoot and repair all bakery equipment. Work closely, Line Group Leaders and Production Line Personal establishing communication channels with production to continue the improvement of all production processes and systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in all support equipment such as air compressor, central refrigeration system, air conditioning, make up air units, forklifts, pallet jacks, sweeper, exhaust fans, etc.
- Minor troubleshooting and repairs of electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems in the bakery.
- Responsible for the use of the “Lockout & Tag out System”.
- Notify Production Supervisor of equipment malfunction or damage. Order spare parts and material/supplies to always maintain equipment operational.
- Troubleshoot and repair building and facilities equipment.
- Maintain direct communication with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all equipment problems and breakdowns during shift are address and follow up in a timely fashion. All mayor breakdowns shall be reported within the 30 minutes
- Fill out shift reports, down time reports, work orders paperwork, parts request forms with the proper information.
- Report spare parts usage to the Maintenance Coordinator.
- Comply with all company guidelines describe in the Employee Manual, GMP’s, Food Safety, Safety, and Departmental Procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs to building including all offices, bathrooms, cafeterias, parking lot, and production areas. Perform minor plumbing, masonry, carpentry, refrigeration, and electrical repairs.
- Daily record keeping of temperatures readings of all refrigeration equipment such as cold boxes and freezer.
- Work directly various contractors that will work in the bakery.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma and 3-year related experience or combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak and read Spanish is a Plus.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Word processing, Spreadsheets, E-mail, Inventory.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, outside weather conditions
