We love our pets and their pet parents, and they love us! Woodlands Animal Hospital is a long standing pillar in the Oldsmar, FL community. Our hospital and team focuses on progressive medicine with compassionate care. Dr. Kitz purchased Woodlands in 2017, bringing with her advances in Veterinary Medicine and focusing on offering quality patient care. Her love for animals and desire to educate builds lasting relationships with pet parents. The staff exhibit these same qualities, building a collaborative, compassionate, and helpful team.
We are looking for a full-time Lead Technician adept at using analytical and critical thinking skills and keen observations to make effective decisions to ensure that animals under our care remain safe and are cared for efficiently for our fast-paced small animal hospital. The ideal candidate will have the ability to achieve a positive outcome through compassionate leadership, communication and education with clients and other team members.
What we expect:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (required)
- Surgical nursing skills - preparation of the patient, instruments and equipment.
- Technical Skills: monitoring vitals, administering and monitoring anesthesia, intubation, IV placement, blood draws and fluid therapy with blood transfusions.
- Dental charting and dental x-rays.
- Radiography, phlebotomy, pharmacology-including drug dosing calculations, laboratory procedures and packaging, Ultrasound and CPR.
- Ensuring established protocols are followed and documented.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
