Insight into the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the DAS Team in our school-based work as a Hybrid Speech-Language Pathologist. We are looking for qualified team members who can contribute to our goal of supporting students and families in achieving the most optimal outcomes.
You’ll be serving at multiple charter schools in San Antonio, TX.
One of the best parts of working at DAS is our flexible scheduling! We take the summers off, working around 170 days a year within the school calendar. We provide healthy and balanced workloads and a team that supports you every step of the way.
The awesome work you will do:
· Manage a caseload of students and provide speech services on a regular and consistent basis. Assist with addressing the compensatory backlog of services.
· Provide consultation with teachers and parents as needed.
· Complete speech evaluations and make IEP recommendations for speech services.
· Attend ARD meetings.
· Maintain organized records of services provided.
· Provide progress reports for each student per grading period.
· Optional supervision of SLP-As
We would love if you have:
· Must possess a master’s degree (MA or M.S.) from an accredited institution
· Must possess Texas SLP licensure
· 2-3 years of experience in a school setting a plus, but not required
· Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, education of special education students, human development
· Excellent organization and planning skills
· Demonstrated passion for students, especially those with disabilities
· Effective interpersonal skills
· Must possess a valid Driver’s License
Compensation:
· Hourly pay between $50-$55/hour based on experience, plus a supervisor stipend per SLP-A that you support (if applicable).
