The Clinical Applications Technical Trainer provides end user support and technical training on clinical, business, and ancillary information systems, including, but not limited to Cerner Millennium.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver end user training via in-person (primary), web, and in-servicing methods
- Develop and update training curricula based on user position and attendant workflows
- Develop practice scenarios for users to complete as part of every training session
- Ability to synthesize and explain complicated technical, clinical, and business concepts in simple language, both verbally and in writing
- Manage training schedules and agendas
- Report on completed courses, issues, and absences
- Determine overall effectiveness of training by listening to feedback and making improvements as necessary
- Maintain technical knowledge by utilizing Cerner Wiki, demos, and reviewing training materials and curricula regularly
- Knowledge of adult learning theory
- Coordinate, perform, and support functional testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, and test script writing
- Provide tier 1 Cerner support as needed
- Develop training materials: manuals, PowerPoints, quick guides and cards, videos, and asynchronous training modules (e.g., Adobe Capitvate, etc.)
Preferred Technical Qualifications:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Technically savvy, and willing to quickly learn Cerner Millennium EHR, Dentrix, and other clinical and business systems
Education and Experience:
- Attention to fine details, formatting, and style
- Excellent writing skills and document preparation
- Prior clinical and/or EHR experience nice to have but not required
- Bachelor Degree
Working Conditions:
- Walking, sitting, standing for moderate periods of time
- Transporting training materials among and between sites
- Requires regular deployment to health centers
Salary: $77,000-$80,000
