The Position at a Glance
If you’re an experienced Clinical Audiologist who enjoys enhancing the auditory health and well-being of patients and is seeking a friendly, patient-centric clinical setting, we’re looking for you! As our Clinical Audiologist, you’ll provide personalized care to our diverse patients and collaborate with our practice’s other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care. Salary and Benefits
Minimum salary: $90,000 per year and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. An array of benefits with employer contributions are available to regular employees and their eligible dependents, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401k with employer matching, paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and personal business, and paid holidays.
Qualifications
Both of the following requirements must be met by time of appointment:
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure in the State of California as an Audiologist.
In addition, the selected candidate must have the following skills and abilities:
- Strong clinical skills and experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
The Position - Full Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions testing, to evaluate the extent and nature of patients' hearing disorders.
- Interpret test results, diagnose hearing and balance disorders, and develop customized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families on hearing disorders, treatment options, and expectations
- Recommend and fit hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive listening devices to meet the specific needs of patients, making adjustments as necessary.
- Perform balance assessments and vestibular testing to diagnose and treat issues related to balance and dizziness.
- Administer and interpret electrophysiological tests, such as auditory brainstem response (ABR) and otoacoustic emissions (OAE) tests.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as otolaryngologists, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting evaluation results, recommendations, and follow-up appointments in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Stay current with the latest developments in audiology, hearing aid technology, and treatment methods through ongoing professional development and training.
- Educate patients on hearing protection and strategies for preventing hearing loss.
- Promote the practice's services, participate in community outreach, and build positive relationships with patients to ensure exceptional patient care and a strong patient base.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
