Hello! Thank you for your interest in joining the Wellspring team as a full-time Visitation Specialist. As a Visitation Specialist with the Wellspring family services team in Jackson, you will be part of a team committed to delivering exceptional services to children and families in Jackson County. You will bring professional experience working with children and families. You will have a high school diploma, and a current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance. You will also be reliable, and have a responsible attitude, a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do.
As a Visitation Specialist, you will:

Schedule and coordinate visitation with children, their parents, relatives and siblings.

Provide transportation for individuals served if needed.

Monitor, supervise and coach parents during visitation.

Make periodic home visits to families to support and monitor behavior interventions.

Follow through with case planning and treatment services.

Provide documentation of all client interactions on paper and in computer databases.

Communicate concerns and/or significant observations regarding clients verbally and in writing when necessary.

Provide child care for children while caregivers attend parenting classes, support groups and other required appointments.

Assist the foster care team with other administrative tasks like copying, filing, recruitment events and other functions as requested.

Assist in keeping paper and electronic client records current, accurate and compliant.

Ensure visitation rooms are kept clean and organized, and toys are regularly disinfected.

Maintain accurate records, confidentiality and timely reports.

Attend staff meetings and treatment planning meetings as required.

Transport clients when needed.

Integrate learning from required training into day-to-day responsibilities.
