Regular Job Functions
Experience with eCW (eclinical works) PREFERRED
- Answers appointment scheduling line and schedules patient appointments in a timely manner per established protocols.
- Answer calls in a high volume, busy medical call center.
- Obtain and enter accurate demographic and all relevant appointment information into eCW EMR (date of birth, name, telephone number, insurance information, reason for visit, etc.)
- Schedule appointments accurately and follow appropriate guidelines and templates
- Responds to patient questions and needs by editing, canceling, and rescheduling appointments as necessary.
- Taking messages such as medication refill requests, pain diaries, post-operative concerns, scheduling requests for surgeries, procedures, injections, imaging etc
- Maintain a working knowledge of Medicare, commercial insurance, workers comp and Health Insurance Marketplace Plans
- Communication, Teamwork, and Patient/Employee Relations
- Communicate with colleagues and supervisor effectively and timely
- Act as a liaison for the patients and the practice by directing calls to other departments as needed, use good judgement in handling calls, especially with urgent matters. Problem solve quickly and efficiently while maintaining professionalism and patient-focused and patient-oriented service .
- Competency will be ongoing and assessed during probationary period and on an annual basis

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
