- Setup machine settings to meet product specifications
- Adjust glue rails accordingly – includes length and parameter of gluing
- Manually load conveyor with sheet stock to feed machine
- Obtain needed supplies (load tags, sheet stock, bottom sheets etc.)
- Read and follow shop order instructions
- Manually fold flaps and feed carefully through machine
- Troubleshoot problems throughout production run
- Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to loose liner, warp, correct size, and gluing
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed
- Adheres to production schedule
- Reports any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor
- Completes appropriate paperwork upon completion of order
- Train and assist assistant and helper with job duties on the machine
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
- Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs
- Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment
- Additional duties as assigned by management
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in the corrugated industry is helpful
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic mathematical calculations
