Maintenance Technician
Maintenance will report to the Office Manager and periodically consult with the House Manager and/or Program Director. Maintenance will ensure the building is audit ready and consistent with OASAS 814 Facility Requirements and NYS, FNY regulatory requirements and all other Federal, State and City regulations.
Maintenance Technician Essential Functions
- Responsible for the maintenance of all equipment (air conditioning, heating, etc.) at both locations
- Supervises the cleaning of the building as assigned to the residents by the House Managers.
- Maintains the grounds outside the building (sidewalk, ramp, etc.) a both locations
- Makes repairs where needed and notifies the Office Manager and for professional services (plumber, electrician, elevators, etc.)
- Maintains and stocks the workshop with necessary cleaning materials and tools for the facility.
- Assist in other assignments as needed at both facilites.
- Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements
- Training certificate in custodial services
- Or
- 3 years of experience as maintenance personnel
- HVAC trained Working knowledge of heating, air conditioning, elevator equipment as used in the building.
- Knowledge of elevator equipment as used in the building
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch or sit for long periods of time
- Desire to work with and assist the residents as needed
- Must be willing to have a flexible schedule including weekends if needed.
- Related Skills or Knowledge:
- Ability to prioritize, think logically and maintain program standards.
- Ability to work in Substance Use Disorder treatment facility and display unconditional respect and regard to the clients.
- Ability to engage a wide range of populations, and cultures.
- Should possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a volume environment and maintain professionalism.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Maintenance in residential treatment: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
