Primary Position Objective
Service a large portfolio of commercial loans, in senior and subordinate lien positions, through construction and permanent phase of loan cycle.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain organized commercial loan credit files.
- Review and interpret commercial loan documents to service commercial loans in senior and subordinate positions in accordance with agreed upon terms.
- Analyze and interpret data to accurately input terms into a servicing database and ensure efficient servicing of commercial loans.
- Manage servicing flow in all phases of life of loan for seasoned portfolios of varying origin.
- Ensure the timely filing of Uniform Commercial Code Financing Statements.
- Reconcile loan histories to ensure accurate interest accrual and unpaid principal balance.
- Report and actively pursue resolution of past due items and matters of default in accordance with agreed upon terms.
- Field calls from borrowers regarding loan related inquiries and resolve issues as necessary.
- Monitor reports and system generated notices to ensure rate changes and covenant compliance in accordance with documented terms.
- Ensure effective written and verbal communication with staff, management and clients.
- Adhere to timelines and deadlines established based on client needs and department workflow.

Independent Judgment
- Identify potential issues, including but not limited to, inconsistencies, errors and defaults and effectively report those issues to managers and clients.
- Familiar with of all aspects of permanent loans servicing, including, but not limited to payment processing, escrow administration and analysis, ARM management, UCC management, and investor reporting. In particular, possess the ability to recognize “norms” and identify those parameters that are “unique” or unusual, that may require special handling.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 5 plus years’ experience in managing/servicing commercial loans.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or accounting or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of commercial loan documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Robust problem-solving skills.
- Ability to implore critical thinking measures and to think though global consequences.
- Strong comfort level with technology, including ability to adapt to new systems quickly and easily. Thorough knowledge of and comfort with the Microsoft office suite applications.
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to produce at a high level under limited supervision and meet imposed deadlines in a fast paced, demanding environment.
- Must be able to work independently and in a cooperative team environment.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced atmosphere with varied responsibilities based on priorities of the current situation.

- Physical Strength - Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
