Summary of Position:
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and execution of tasks throughout all stages of Apollo Plastics’ product development process. He/she will be interacting with clients, suppliers, and other Apollo personnel daily to accomplish these tasks. Responsible for adherence to requirements such as timelines and budgets and reports regularly on project status. Cooperates and communicates effectively with the Vice President and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
The Project Manager will be exposed to the entire range of project management work, from concept to and beyond production, done at Apollo Plastics. This includes but is not limited to: Quoting, both new programs and modifications or samples for existing programs, tool design, industrial process design and management, project management, communication and coordination between toolmaker, client, and internal production, organization, and quality assurance.
Since Apollo Plastics’ facility includes the company’s toolroom and production floor, there is a large opportunity for hands-on work in the areas of tool design and industrial process design and management.
As Apollo Plastics is building an engineering team, there will be open positions in management available in the future for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Follow Apollo’s quoting system to provide on time quotations and/or responses to customer inquiries regarding upcoming projects
- Lead feasibility discussions during quotation process, ensuring that feasibility is properly assessed and documented
- Manage DFM activities to achieve design approval by coordinating between toolmakers, Apollo technical staff, and clients
- Manage tooling development process to achieve project milestones and satisfy customer needs
- Support internal tooling staff by using CAD software to retrieve designs, take measurements, and create drawings as needed
- Audit current production parts to ensure quoted parameters are achieved
- Lead efforts to correct or improve processes noted during audits
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years cost estimation experience
- Minimum 3 years experience working with injection molded components
- Experience with injection mold tooling development
- Familiarity with 3D CAD programs
- Ability to travel on occasion (up to 10%), both domestic or international
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive industry experience
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field
- Fluency with Spanish language

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
