Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical administrative support and patient care, with a focus on providing exceptional service in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care activities and provide administrative support in a clinic or medical facility.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vital signs, and medical history documentation.
- Work closely with medical staff in various settings such as the operating room (OR) or Level I Trauma Center.
- Handle patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth flow of patient services.
- Collaborate with emergency medicine teams to deliver prompt and efficient care to patients.
- Administer medications as directed, including inhalation treatments when necessary.
Experience:
- Previous experience in patient care coordination or related roles within a clinic or urgent care setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures, particularly in emergency medicine environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and insurance verification.
- Certification or training in patient service coordination is a plus.
