Position Summary:
Biocytogen is a global biotech specializing in gene editing, preclinical drug development, and antibody discovery. We’re looking for an Antibody Licensing Scientist. You will contribute to pivotal initiatives in out-licensing, co-development, acquisitions, and spin-offs. Your expertise will be instrumental in advancing our efforts in drug discovery and development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate external business opportunities for out-licensing, co-development, Collect and Present Antibody Data: Gather comprehensive antibody asset data packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Present and effectively communicate this data to clients, addressing any technical questions or concerns.
- Support Business Development (BD): Collaborate with the BD team to facilitate and close licensing deals by providing technical expertise and insights.
- Market Needs Feedback: Collect market needs and feedback, and communicate these insights to the scientific team to align with client expectations.
- Client Interaction and Feedback: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, support, and address any issues related to the antibody assets. Collect feedback during client interactions and help bridge any gaps between client needs and the scientific team’s offerings.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of client interactions, data presentations, and feedback provided to the scientific team. Generate reports as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Educational Background: PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with a focus on Antibody Discovery.
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the antibody discovery industry is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of therapeutic antibody processes, data interpretation, antibody development, and proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Onsite Availability: The candidate must be available to work onsite at our facility.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated and proactive with a strong sense of initiative.
- Drug Discovery Landscape: Good understanding of the overall drug discovery landscape.
- Time Zone Flexibility: Ability to work across time zones to communicate effectively with cross subsidiaries.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a must
