Senior Mechanical Engineer for Livonia, MI:
Understanding the technical requirements and create the scope of work based on the stakeholder requirements. Review the drawings with the ECO details and if any incorrect data is found in the drawing or ECO, reject the ECO. Attending the technical review the cross functional team to understanding the changes going to be incorporated in the design and its timeline. Update or Generate the Bill of Material in Engineering Central. Initiate the ECO release activity and follow-up for the approvals from various cross functional team members. Study of the product line and operators specific to the production area, creation of Operations in Standards Pro system. Develop accurate work measurement & identify each task as value added or non- value-added work by part number in Standards Pro system. Identify and apply value added / non value added classification to each task (Due to limitation in Standards Pro system in regards to VA / NVA Classification. Conduct ergonomic analysis on each operation and publish ergonomic risk levels on each operation. Study operation video and analyze operator movement / posture for all work done by an operator for every station on the assembly line, being physically present at the shop floor. Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) & Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). Report risk levels for each operation as low, medium (or) high levels. Responsible for the engineering change orders on the shop floor specific to standard times and ergonomic evaluation due to product and process changes on a continuous basis. Perform all release activities into customer PLM. Ensure deliverables in terms of timing and quality in compliancy with customer specific service level agreement (SLAs). Ensure accurate, complete, and consistent inputs and deliverables for schedule adherence Process Planning application. Validate the quality of deliverables. Prepare and present weekly project status to customer. Develop design change report & submit to client on monthly basis. Develop and maintain technical documentation and project reports. Tracking project status through MPP (Microsoft Project Plan) and ERP.
Master of Mechanical Engineering with 24 months or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years’ experience will be considered in lieu of master's degree required, foreign equivalent accepted, 40hrs per week.
