Shipping and Logistics Coordinator
CSG is currently seeking a Shipping and Logistics Coordinator (CSR) who is accustomed to working in incredibly busy and fast-paced professional environments. The ideal candidate should be motivated, flexible, and eager to tackle new challenges on a daily basis, and should also display an impressive command of Microsoft Excel and other data management software.
The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator will report to the CEO and Head of Operations of CSG.
Job Responsibilities:
- Study shipping manuals closely, learning the ins and outs of shipping to each customer (these details include factory terms, routing procedures, special requirements, etc.).
- Receive and organize incoming new orders by EDI or hard copy.
- Analyze incoming new orders, assessing an order's specific needs and determining the best way to fulfill them.
- Check stock availability and location for each order.
- Keep track of whether a shipment requires price tickets, placing an order for them if necessary.
- Create sales orders.
- Release sales orders to the warehouse for processing and keep record of the pallet information that is sent back.
- Submit the routing to obtain configuration/authorization numbers, carrier info, and pick-up appointments.
- Advise the warehouse of a pending pick-up appointment and provide any required paperwork if appropriate (BOL, Commercial Invoice, etc.).
- Schedule pick-up or delivery appointments when necessary.
- Advise managers on matters of inventory discrepancy, miscommunication, and pick-up issues.
Ideal Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-5 years' Shipping and Logistics experience.
- Must be proficient in QuickBooks.
- Must have intermediate/advanced-level Excel knowledge (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
- Must be detail oriented (cannot be prone to making mistakes).
- Prior experience with Quantum is a huge plus.
- Experience with routing orders on customer portals preferred.
- Knowledge of NetSuite preferred.
