What you’ll do:
- Responsible for preparing the operating room for surgery. This includes setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- During surgery, surgical technicians assist the surgical team by utilizing aseptic technique for passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other team members.
- Responsible for maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room and taking appropriate measures to ensure integrity
- Responsible for monitoring the patient's vital signs during surgery, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation.
- After surgery, surgical technicians clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment and ensure that they are properly stored.
- Assist with transporting patients to and from the operating room and positioning them on the operating table.
- Responsible for maintaining accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout the surgical procedure.

What you’ll need:*
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of approved school of surgical technology or appropriate on the job training. Surgical Technologist certification preferred. Current Basic Life Support Certification.
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with patients, physicians, co-workers and others. Periodic pushing, pulling and lifting patients, and or equipment. Requires walking and standing throughout the entire shift while performing duties.
- Other duties as assigned as necessary and may vary at times, as needed, by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company.
- May have exposure to patients with communicable diseases. May have exposure to hazardous equipment or agents.
