Position Description:
Mental Health Specialist (MHS) position provides mental health treatment and support services using evidence based techniques. Primary job responsibility is to provide assessment, psychoeducation, individual service/treatment development, case management and other mental and behavioral health services to clients with mental illness within your scope of practice. Assess clients to determine and/confirm diagnosis. Develop, implement and coordinate treatment plays for psycho-social needs of each client on your caseload to include supportive counseling to client and case management and supportive treatment to the client and for family members as medically necessary. Collaborate with supervising clinician, Directors and staff as it relates to client services.
This position will receive 1:1 and/or group supervision from supervisors through direct observation, clinical meetings, and/or videos. Supervision may be provided by different supervisors based on the service provided or work being completed. Supervision is provided regularly and is documented. In addition, Licensed Mental Health Specialists are required to attend team meetings, staff professional development sessions per their specific staff development plan, scheduled training, and continuing education as required by the licensing board.
Finally, this position requires the staff member to maintain all current licenses as required by the Ohio licensing board(s).

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge and skills):
Good written and verbal communication skills, knowledge and use of Microsoft, computer skills, internet navigation, email management, analytic skills, ability to learn quickly, detail oriented, good organizational skills, punctuality, good attendance, good customer service skills, ability to play/interact with clients, flexibility, ability to accept feedback and knowledge of current and evidence-based treatment practices for mental health illness.
Credentials Required: Ohio Licensed LSW or LPC
Credentials Preferred: Ohio Licensed LSW or LPC
Education/Experience Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
