Description:
CNC Operators play a very important part in the construction of our cabinets. This position is responsible for operating the CNC machine using job specific cut sheets that outline product specifications with detailed customer’s guidelines. The operator must show leadership in operating the machine and ensure quality product is produced effectively and efficiently. They also clean and maintain machinery based on a maintenance schedule. It is their responsibility to work with other team members on various machines to keep up with the production schedule. All machine operators will be cross trained to operate multiple machines. It is essential that the operator has high attention to detail and critical thinking capabilities.

Essential Job Functions:

Read and thoroughly understand the Job Cut Sheet before starting each job

Determine the fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications

Reading CNC programs to determine dimensions, tolerances and set up for material and parts

Modify machine speed, tooling, and cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts

Oversee the cutting process, make adjustments throughout each job, catch cabinet mistakes on paperwork, and take necessary measures to eliminate errors

Ensure that the machine has an adequate warm-up and cool-down times.

Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold the company's reputation

Ability to move in a fast pace environment while adhering to customer quality and specification guidelines

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement.

Knowledge of how to read and understand measurement tools (tape measure, micrometer)

Maintain quality and safety standards.

Organize and maintain cleanliness in the workplace at all times.

Conduct daily machine maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications
-
2-3 year minimum experience working a CNC machine
-
Math skills: will need to understand addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions and decimals

Ability to work repetitive movements and standing for long periods of time
-
Ability to lift and slide products weighing 50 - 100 lbs.
