Position Summary
The Waco Filters Director of Sales will report to the President and will be based within the United States. The Director of Sales position is critical to our business both in terms of long-term success and day-to-day operations. This individual is responsible for leading & developing a team focused on driving revenue growth by maximizing sales, identifying new projects and customer backed innovation opportunities, as well as hunting for new customers for Waco Filters. This growth is to come from the addition of new accounts as well as further development of existing customers. The keys to success in this role include the ability to cultivate strong customer and vendor relationships, a deep understanding of market trends in the target sectors, continuous refinement of sales processes, and flawless project management from design to delivery.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated quick learner with a strong bias for action. The candidate will possess a customer-centric mindset, exceptional attitude, sound leadership skills, willingness to develop an in-depth understanding of products and accounts, and the motivation necessary to develop and deploy successful strategies for growing and maintaining business. The person must be tenacious at heart and enjoy the challenge of building new relationships. The Director of Sales will possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and a team-player focus to quickly and effectively collaborate with their team, customers, vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve problems.
Responsibilities
· Develop and lead strategic sales plans to achieve goals designed to expand market share within target sectors
· Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance analysis
· Hunt for new customers and new business using all tools available
· Present and sell Waco Filters products & services to potential customers
· Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific customer targets for incremental business growth
· Monitor and analyze accuracy of project data and pipeline information in CRM to identify areas for improvement and measure individual and team performance
· Create and manipulate large data sets then apply rigorous analysis and critical thinking that drives insight, informing commercial action
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development Managers, Strategic Accounts Manager, Contract Manager, Customer Service, Procurement, Marketing, and Operations teams to align sales strategies with overall company goals
· Establish and maintain current client and potential customer relationships to drive revenue and maintain customer satisfaction
· Conduct market research and analyze industry trends, competitive intelligence, identify new market opportunities, and stay proactive in the market
· Achieve/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
· Collaborate across functions to ensure quality and delivery goals are met
· Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote the company’s brand and generate leads

· Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office; specifically, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
· Working knowledge of teleconference tools
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Sales, or a relevant field is required; Master’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Sales or a relevant field is a plus
· Minimum of five (5) years of sales leadership experience is required
· Ideally has process filtration experience selling into the Chemical, Food and Beverage, Microelectronics, Cosmetics/Customer care, Pharmaceuticals, and Animal Health, preferred.
· Proven track record of successfully adding new customer sales and rapid profitable revenue growth.
· Computer proficiency required - CRM software (SalesForce.com) experience strongly preferred - must be able to input and retrieve sales data
· Proven track record of successfully managing large, long-term projects
· Ability to identify, hire, develop, and motivate individuals to grow team capabilities
· Willingness to work side-by-side with all levels of the team

Travel
- This role may require up to 75% travel (overnight expected) to visit customers, end users, collaborate with team members, and participate in industry events.
