Az AirNet is currently seeking an Internet Technician to train and grow with the Az AirNet family. As an Internet Technician-in-training, you will be a direct representation of Az AirNet.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles to and from service areas and work sites
- Work outside and inside of customer and business locations
- Work regularly scheduled days and unscheduled days if necessary
- Work beyond normal work hours and sometimes will work at night if necessary
- Report to the Field Supervisor
- Prepare all necessary equipment for scheduled installs in advance
- Ensure company vehicle is properly stocked with necessary supplies for installs
- Test all removed equipment for warranty repair
- Communicates with other technicians and office staff for updates or assistance as needed
- Communicate and interact with customers and businesses about all services offered, create an installation plan and promote any additional services
- Communicate clearly with customers in person and over the phone to successfully resolve trouble tickets
- Conduct site surveys, service calls, installs and site work professionally
- Educate all customers on proper usage of our service and any installed products
- Educate all customers on any forms involved
- Complete all work properly and in accordance with Company standards
- Complete all paperwork properly and in accordance with Company standards
- Apply knowledge and skills to work atmosphere
- Successfully complete various training and certification courses and apply the new skill sets to work
- Install, remove, upgrade, downgrade and modify broadband products and services in accordance with Company standards
- Use a variety of tools, power tools, parts, equipment, machines and vehicles to support the Company needs
- Work on a variety of towers, structures and buildings to support Company needs
- Assist with building any necessary structures like towers, buildings, cabinets, battery back-up systems, foundations, cabling, grounding, trenching, equipment, poles, supports and conduit, to support the Company needs
- Customize, design and install custom Wi-Fi systems
- Work with technology devices like but not limited to computers, printers, VoIP, telephone, security systems, IoT, mesh, gaming systems, smart devices, TVs and streaming devices
- Properly program and install all wireless radio equipment, extenders, routers, UAPs, mesh Wi-Fi systems in various PTP and PTMP applications
- Will work with a variety of wireless radios on a variety of frequency bands not limited to but include 2.4Ghz, 3Ghz, 4Ghz, 5Ghz, 10-11Ghz, 24Ghz, 60Ghz
- Ensure all RF devices operate properly in accordance with the Company, FCC and any other legal authority standards
- Lastly, Az AirNet will provide necessary training as needed to become a certified wireless radio technician.
Qualifications:
- 20 years of age
- Valid state driver’s license with a good standing driving record
- Ability to work variable shift times
- Ability to perform required tasks
- Stable work history
- Some understanding of computer, radio or networking skills
Requirements:
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to work in small and confined spaces (ex. attic, crawl space and around furniture)
- Ability to safely climb ladders, vehicles, towers, structures, residences, businesses and various other locations as service is needed
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, crawl, lay, bend or any other movement as needed
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds to position, install, mount and carry items
- Ability to communicate in person and over the phone
- Ability to clearly see and identify various colors of wiring
- Ability to drive, inspect, operate and conduct basic maintenance of Company vehicles and equipment
- Ability to travel to rural areas and sites
- Ability to properly complete all necessary paperwork and documentation for every job
- Ability to safely use and carry tools and equipment
- Ability to tolerate exposure of the Arizona elements
- Ability to learn, understand and demonstrate training tasks properly
- Ability to travel periodically for training certification
