Responsibilities:
- This job requires an independent employee who is able to open/close on their own if needed. You will be responsible for prepping the apps/meats/sides for the day. You must also learn the recipes on the menu. You must be able to lift 25lbs on your own! However people will always be around to help if you need it. The Gaby’s Taqueria staff are friendly, positive people who will welcome you with open arms. You will always have the opportunity to move up in positions depending on how fast you progress (under managers discretion). Come be a part of our team!
Requirements:
- Valid SSN/ Drivers license
-At least 1-year of restaurant kitchen experience.
-*Fluent in English/Spanish preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Skills:
- Food preparation: Experience in handling and preparing food items in a safe and hygienic manner.
- Culinary: Knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and cooking methods.
- Food service: Familiarity with food service operations, including serving customers, taking orders, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Catering: Understanding of catering principles, such as menu planning, food presentation, and event coordination.
- Food industry: Knowledge of the food industry, including food safety regulations, quality control standards, and industry trends.
- Kitchen: Proficiency in kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and equipment usage.
- Meal preparation: Experience in preparing meals according to specified recipes or dietary guidelines.
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and prevent contamination.
