THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

THE MECHANICAL ENGINEER WILL:
· Validate designs of mechanical coil handling and feeding machines using calculations and solid modeling techniques in SolidWorks software,
· Compute necessary engineering calculations for project specifications,
· Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, quality policies, and performance standards,
· Create drawings, Bill of Materials, and manufacturing process documentation,
· Provide technical support and assistance to internal and external customers,
· Lead project team to ensure project is completed on time and budget,
· Collaborate with Purchasing, Machining, Fabrication, and Assembly Departments to support projects through the build stage,
· Support current standard mechanical designs used for customer solutions and provide alternatives for future improved mechanical components and designs.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or equivalent industry experience
· 1-3 years in design and development of industrial machinery
· Familiarity with manufacturing and machining techniques
· Experience using SolidWorks solid modeling software (including Finite Element Analysis)
· Strong core competence in math, metallurgy, and properties of materials
· Time management and organization skills
· Able to travel to customer sites as needed, up to 20%
· Experience in using Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook
