Description:
To provide proficient technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, physiologic patient monitoring and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison.
Qualifications:
Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support Certified Radiologic Technologist ARRT Registered Technologist - Radiography Additional Qualifications: Registered Radiologic Technologist from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and current Florida license. Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science preferred. Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credentials and advanced certification required (VI,CV, or CI for IVR and RCIS or RCES for Cath Lab). Three years of experience may be substituted for advanced certification. Completes a minimum of 12 CEUs annually (10 CEUs must be CV related). Minimum Required Experience:
Neuro and IR experience strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 years preferred.
