Job Description: We are seeking an experienced pawnbroker with a strong background in firearms to join our team. As a pawnbroker at GC Pawn, you will play a crucial role in assessing, valuing, and managing firearms transactions. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining our high standards of customer service and compliance with legal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Firearms Appraisals: Conduct accurate and thorough appraisals of firearms brought in by customers. Evaluate condition, rarity, and market value to determine fair loan amounts or purchase prices.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally and courteously. Explain terms of pawn loans, redemption options, and sales processes related to firearms.
- Inventory Management: Maintain organized records of firearms inventory. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding firearm transactions.
- Sales and Negotiation: Assist customers in purchasing firearms from our inventory. Negotiate prices and provide excellent customer service.
- Security and Safety: Handle firearms with care and adhere to safety protocols. Ensure proper storage and security of firearms within the shop.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork for each transaction, including pawn tickets, purchase receipts, and federal forms (ATF Form 4473).
- Training and Compliance: Stay informed about changes in firearm laws and regulations. Train other staff members on firearm-related procedures when necessary
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years working as a pawnbroker, preferably with a focus on firearms.
- Firearms Knowledge: In-depth understanding of various firearm types, brands, and models.
- Legal Compliance: Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations related to firearms transactions.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to assess firearm condition accurately.
- Ethical Conduct: Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality.
- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and ownership.
