Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and self-care techniques
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patients' conditions
- Ability to administer medications safely and accurately
- Strong patient service skills, including effective communication and empathy
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
- Experience with X-ray procedures and equipment is a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
