Encino provides innovative custom and technical environmental solutions in the areas of source evaluation (Emissions Performance Testing), leak detection and repair (LDAR), and continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS). Additionally, Encino provides consulting services for air quality compliance and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) programs. Product lines also include emissions management devices and satellites (micro-SATS) for greenhouse gas (GHG) detection from space and emissions reduction products, primarily a composite thief hatch.

In the role of Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician, the candidate will be responsible for office and field support of LDAR projects including Method 21 and Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) surveys. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting field inspections and LDAR tag creation, printing, and field installation on regulated components per facility P&ID’s. Activities required to support LDAR projects include traveling to and performing LDAR responsibilities at oil and gas production facilities which may be remote or in difficult-to-access areas and coordinating with client personnel regarding site access and scheduling. This role will require self-motivation, frequent travel, and independent thinking to troubleshoot logistics.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Conduct equipment inspections on upstream (exploration & production) oil and gas components in accordance with EPA methodologies (40 CFR Subpart 60 OOOOa/b/c); OGMP 2.0, Voluntary Surveys including but not limited too abandoned Well Sites, Well Sites, Tank Batteries, Compressor Stations, Gas Processing plants.
· Record date/time, Inspector/Technician identification, and pertinent environmental data relevant to each inspection project;
· Compile daily leak-inspection and observation log;
· Liaison with corporate and field-level maintenance and environmental representatives to coordinate inspection project schedules and logistics;
· Compile a daily field journal detailing general observations (for process improvement);
· Report findings (daily) to the Field Supervisor;
· Travel to remote oil and gas production sites/facilities;
· Leverage technologies for leak inspections and data management (smart tablets, database/management systems, business optimization systems/software, etc.).
· Assist other Encino Departments as needed including Emissions Testing & Monitoring Technologies.
Requirements:
· Must have a high school diploma, general education development (GED), or equivalent (military service and/or technical degrees preferred);
· 2-4 years field experience regarding technical, industrial, and/or oil and gas services (preferred);
· Proficiencies in reading and understanding Piping and Instrument Diagram’s (P&ID’s);
· Proficient with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.);
· Willing to travel to remote oil and gas locations throughout the geographic project area;
· Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record;
· Must be able to work alone, lift up to 40 lbs. and work in adverse weather both hot and cold;
· Excellent analytical and communication skills;
· Must be task-oriented with the ability to maintain tight schedules;
· Must pass drug and alcohol screening; and
· Must have Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) 40-hr Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Training, PEC Safety (SafeLand USA) training, or equivalent (Encino will subsidize training gaps).

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
