Registered Nurse Position
We are a dedicated hospice company based in Houston, TX, seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in providing exceptional care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, educating them and their families on comfort measures, and ensuring their dignity and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Monitor patients’ conditions, assess their needs, and provide the best possible care and advice. Observe and interpret symptoms, and communicate them effectively to physicians.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and fellow nurses to devise individualized care plans for each patient.
- Routine Procedures: Perform routine procedures such as blood pressure measurements and medication administration and accurately document in patients' electronic medical records (EMR).
- Medication Management: Adjust and administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Facility Inspection: Maintain excellent hygiene and safety standards by decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, and preparing beds.
- Supervision: Supervise and train Licensed Vocational Nurses (LvNs) and nursing assistants.
- Supportive Environment: Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families.
Work Environment:
- Patients may be located in their own homes, personal care homes, or nursing facilities. This role requires travel to various locations for patient visits.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures, with a commitment to following them consistently.
- Team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, compassionate, and patient-focused.
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Valid nursing license.
- Hospice experience is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
