2nd Assistant Manager
Summary: This position is responsible for providing great customer service by assisting the customer with their shopping needs, promoting various products, managing overall store operations on during designated shift.
2nd Assistant Manager Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for:
- Providing and modeling excellent customer service by assisting the customer with their shopping needs while in our stores.
- Promoting sales within the store.
- Oversee store operations on designated shifts and in the absence of the Store Manager or the 1st Assistant Manager.
- Communicating with CSR’s about store operational concerns such as promotional products, inventory concerns, safety and security advisories, other upcoming events/concerns.
- Managing CSR’s and other on duty employees to insure the efficient and accurate processing of sales transactions to promote customer service and sales within the store.
- Oversee the completion of the Daily Job Assignment Worksheet for designated shift by assigning specific tasks to employees and reviewing tasks for completion.
- Monitor and insure compliance of employees with established store policies and procedures regarding safety, security, sales, inventory, labor laws, etc.
- Managing “Call Offs”.
- Training CSR’s in proper procedures in all facets of the operation.
- Participating in the selection process of new CSR’s to build a strong sales team.
- Promptly report any concerns to the store manager (or others, as appropriate) concerning customer concerns, store operations, inventory discrepancies, employee concerns, etc.
- Preparation of merchandise orders as needed.
- Support Store Manager with other responsibilities as needed.
2nd Assistant Manger Marginal Functions:
- Completing the daily paperwork to reconcile and record the daily transactions including preparation of daily deposits and daily report with all supporting documentation for Accounting.
- Proper reconciling and recording of merchandise received from vendors by verifying merchandise received and recording on the Receiving Log.
- Actively work to resolve customer concerns to promote great customer service. If unable to resolve, then refer customer to Store Manager and facilitate contact.
- Assisting Store Manager with various routine tasks and functions as assigned.
- Actively work to control inventory.
- Participating in Meeting as Store Representative in the absence of Store Manager.
