PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
We are looking for a motivated Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers at customer locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive service calls and assignments from CMFP office.
- Verify material/equipment requirements for service call.
- Service/repair necessary material and equipment in a quality workmanship-type manner
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Exhibit effective customer service skills through communication
- Maintain company truck cleanliness
- Maintain company truck inventory
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Complete and submit all paperwork in a timely manner
- Always follow and adhere to safety guidelines and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent,
- Will train, mechanical aptitude preferred
- NAFED Certified
- Current valid driver license and good driving record
- Must pass State of Illinois licensing requirements (CMFP trains/handles cost)
- Professional image, trustworthy, with ability to work independently
- Requires reliable sight, hearing, touch, and verbal communication, ability to follow verbal and written instructions, with good judgement
- Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and moving equipment/tools up to 30-50 lbs.
- Capable of walking and climbing up/down ladder
- Ability to work early, flexible hours, including possible weekends, to meet customer requests
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
