Medical Receptionist
We are searching for an experienced Medical Receptionist who can coordinate patient and physician schedules. We are looking for a professional who understands the value of compassionate service. This position includes significant amounts of multi-tasking and involves communicating with patients both over the phone and in person.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answer multi-line phones and schedule appointments
- Greet patients upon arrival, check them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
- Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
- Process payments from patients for co-pays, outstanding balances and uninsured visits
- Provide quality Customer Service to the patients courteously and promptly.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with co-workers, Management Staff, and Physicians.
Ideally, candidates for this position should have a working knowledge of electronic medical records and the ability to provide excellent patient customer service, as well as the ability to assist with a broad spectrum of patients. Bilingual candidates are always a plus.
Experience:
- High school graduate or GED
- 2+ years of clerical experience working for a healthcare practice
- High level of professionalism
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Basic computer skills and experience with medical software
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of medical and insurance terminology
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 26 – 28 per week
