The Special Clinical Services Coordinator reports to the Senior Director of Clinical Administration and is responsible for coordinating admissions, certification, transition, and discharge planning with OPWDD. They assist in developing and implementing specialized clinical programming, supervise clinical staff, coordinate onsite programs and partnerships, and offer support to the Clinical Department at St. Christopher’s.
Candidates must hold at least a master’s degree in mental health counseling or social work or doctorate in clinical psychology and be licensed by the state of New York.
Salary: $70,000
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and process referral packets for RTC admission, ensuring suitability and identifying special needs.
- Coordinate pre-placement procedures, conduct interviews, and ensure documentation completion.
- Facilitate internal communication to streamline admissions and address resident/family needs.
- Represent the Agency at intake-related meetings and outreach activities.
- Develop and implement specialized clinical programs, maintaining documentation.
- Liaise with outside agencies for seamless service coordination.
- Carry a small clinical caseload, cover duties in staff absence, and supervise interns.
- Coordinate transition planning for OPWDD-certified youth.
- Support on-campus programming with a clinical focus.
- Coordinate transition planning with outside entities and assist with additional planning and casework.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
- Must be licensed in the state of New York
