We are seeking a detail oriented Documentation Specialist to join our team and lead the long-term strategy for our internal and externally facing knowledge bases. This includes the creation and maintenance of help documentation leveraged by our customers, as well as internal documentation and training content used by our Customer Support team and other teams within the organization.
Ultimately, you will collaborate with members from various teams to establish and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base for the organization, as well as develop standardized content for onboarding and training new employees.
What You Will Do
Spearhead the creation of a standardized style guide to facilitate consistency and implement for all customer help content.
Audit existing customer help content to identify articles that are out of date and lead projects to complete those updates
Coordinate with Product Management to maintain customer help content on an ongoing basis based new features and changes introduced during recurring software releases
Enhance our current customer help system by creating new content tailored to identified training needs
Own the implementation of an integrated tool tip application with guidance from Product and Customer Success teams
Drive the selection of an internal Knowledge Base system and oversee the development and migration of existing content to the new platform
Assist with the creation and organization of employee training content for our new Learning Management System (LMS)
Maintain and prioritize a backlog of requested documentation and content projects
What You Bring to Yes Energy
Proven work experience as a Documentation Specialist or similar role
Experience in creating help and training content for both customers and employees
Ability to translate complex and technical information into content that is easy to understand for a variety of audiences and skill levels
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication
Relevant training and/or certifications as a Documentation Specialist (preferred)
What Will Set You Apart
Energy industry experience or experience in equities/commodities trading
Familiarity with nodal power market data and database architecture concepts
Basic SQL and/or Python knowledge and familiarity with APIs
Experience with Yes Energy’s products will set you apart from other candidates.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Compensation Range: $60,000 - $75,000
