Who We Are
Prevent Child Abuse Utah (PCAU) is non-profit organization established in the state of Utah in 1982. Our mission is to ensure that all children enjoy a safe and happy childhood. We do this by educating Utah’s communities through schools, families, and individuals. We work one-on-one with families with a program called PCAU Parents as Teachers (PAT). We provide programming and services of an internationally recognized, evidence-based home visiting model. Parents as Teachers helps parents create an optimal environment in which to nurture their children by addressing needs, educating about child development, and encouraging parents to establish values, and reach their personal parenting goals. Our non-profit organization provides a diverse demographic of primary caregivers with the education and support they need from their baby’s conception through the first five years of life.
